So currently, Winston and Gilbert are chillin' in my living room. Yes, this is Vicki in person (with an I) and the two boys are lazy and making fun of this blog HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA (thus, me updating here). okay, so we are mildly buzzed and had an awesome night out in Temple Bar,

which is the bar/pub district of Dublin. I met up with them afte

r my horrid final exam and we headed to Doyle's, a favourite pub amongst students. Spent what felt like 30 minutes there (but actually 2 hours) drinking one pint of freakin Guinness - by the way, GUINNESS IS GOOD FOR YOU (supported by the bartender at Doyle's). By the way, this started at 8pm for me. And started at 6pm for Winston and Gilbert ghetto drinking in St. Stephen's Green park who jumped a fence to hide next to a waterfall (too cheap to go into a bar, quote).
As we made our way towards the Temple Bar district, THIS HAPPENED *see video*:
First stop was Oliver St. Gogarty's, a nice traditional Irish pub (but also very touristy). Even though it was stated "21 & over only", we walked right in and were welcomed by a crazy group of Italians and Danes dancing to YMCA. We joined in right away for a couple tunes and they loved us, assumingly so because we were Chinese. OH YES, some random girl started dancing on a table and Gilbert looked like he really wanted to dance on the table as well, and quote "but there's no room for me there" and quote me "oh but there's room NEXT on the table next to her!!" and before you know it, he's dancing on the table doing some scuba move hahaha, then he got kicked off. Freakin HILARIOUS.

Afterwards, we went to the Quays Bar right across and listened to an acoustic session by 2 irishmen, it was very nice and quaint but Winston had had enough so we left halfway through HAHA. Back this random couple outside who kept saying "ni hao ni hao" and thought Winston was cute and we took pictures with them and had nice drunken conversations with the sexiest man in Ireland (we never said that). Okay it's really hard to type buzzed and the boys wanted me to mention that I got drunk off a pint of Guinness - I was only following in their direction of NOT EATING ALL DAY (in order to get drunk faster lol).
Went back to Oliver St. Gogartys but this time there was a bouncer who obviously tried to ID us. Being under 21, we were like "oh but we were here before!! just let us back in haha" and he was like "id please" and we were like again "BUT WE WERE HERE BEFORE!! EVERYONE LOVEEEEEEEEEEEES US IN THERE!! SERIOUSLY, WE WERE LIKE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY!!! YOU HAV

E TO LET US BACK IN!!!!" and the bouncer was like "id please" and then we were like "HELLOOO THEY LOVE US IN THERE, WE KNOW THEM!!! AND WE'RE CHINESE!!!!" and then he was like "are you even over 21?" and gilbert and winston were like "we're 19" and then he checked gilbert's id (which states him as being 18 btw) and just let us in. SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So after sneaking another can of Carlsberg into Winston's stolen Guinness glass from Doyle's, we got stared down by some black man who came out of nowhere (he was actually the washroom attendant but the boys don't know better and just took soap from him without tipping him, the horror). Then we met up with my other friend visitng from Vancouver, Matt and that was awesome. There were 2 old irishmen, John and Mark at the bar *with* whom I chatted up obviouslyyyyyyy. There were from Dublin and decided to check out the bar cause it looked like good CRAIC (an irish slang thing, look it up). So we were just dancing away to random old school songs such as SWEET CAROLINE and 9-5 and O-BLA-DI O-BLA-DA (that took a while to write) and convinced John to dance with us as well. He had seen Gilbert dancing on the table earlier that night and really liked his dancing, quote. Mark was a bit more shy but he soon came on the dan

ce floor to and we sang epically to 500 MILES. AND I WILL WALK 500 MILES AND I WILL WALK 500 MORE.
Being cheap, we had planned tonight so that we could catch the last bus back home (therefore, starting so early). I really wanted John or Mark to dance on the table because it's been my lifelong dream to see an irishman dance in an irish pub, and it actually is the only thing needed for me to complete my irish experience here in Dublin. So anyways, I told John and Mark this and they were like "no no no no" and I was like COME ONNNN LIFE LONG DREAM YO COME ONNNNNNN PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and then Mark seemed like he would do it, and he was like "okay fine, but definitely not to Neil Diamond right now - and you have to clear that barrell off too" and i was like "DONE DEAL" and proceeded to take the glass on the barrell away from 2 random guys who had been watching us the entire night being fools.
Another song comes on and Mark literally runs to the barrell and jumps on top of it, almost hitting his head on the ceiling ornaments. It was so freakin epic seeing him dance up there, and then he jumped back down HAHAHHA. I have a video somewhere. Then we said our sad goodbyes and now we're here, having eaten two 2euro pizzas from tesco and gilbert is about to pass out and Winston is updating his journal (but not this blog, because i mean, why would he do that?)
